The Asia Pacific Oracle User Group, APOUG, was established in 1998 to assist local user groups establish a foundation, and to gain access to the international communities. Today APOUG works with local leaders to coordinate activities that support Oracle user communities in the Asia Pacific region. The APOUG runs Education days, Master Classes, Conferences and an extensive range of Reference Groups, that dive deep into specific Oracle Applications, Technologies, Cloud Services and supporting partner products.
The APOUG is a Not For Profit organization. It is independent of Oracle and any commercial organization that provides services for Oracle's products and services. It is governed by its members through a formal constitution and board structure.
About the Asia Pacific Oracle User Group
The Asia Pacific Oracle User Group's mission is to provide a forum within which, users of Oracle products and services can share experience, opportunities, and success. Global experience has proven that these communities assist people and the organizations using Oracle solutions to grow and gain the experience needed to deliver successful outcomes.
We run and facilitates meetings and events that focus on specific Oracle technologies, software languages, reporting solutions, messaging and reflexive services, virtualization, Linux and Solaris operating system administration through special interest groups. Many of these events are broadcast and available later to watch on line. Recent topics include, Oracle VM training, an 8 part series, Oracle 12c Multi Tenant database installation and administration, the Excel4App Discover replacement series and more.
New series are being developed now, covering 12c R2 database new features, OVM 3.4.2 new features and upgrades, Hyperion Cloud and Oracle Linux Administration.
New Reference Groups are continually being established, with Quest taking a lead role in a new SQL / PL-SQL developer group and Parish Crest on Oracle Performance Tuning.
